Today I came across a video on YouTube about homosexuality in Uganda and how dangerous it is to be LGBTQIA there. Of course I knew that in some parts of the world it is very dangerous to identify as gay. But I have never seen people with so much hatred against homosexuality. It really made me sad when they said "gay people are dangerous monsters as bad as pedophiles" and that "they should be killed." I can't believe how bad gay people are treated there. I also realized how extremely strong the people who are LGBTQIA there is (of course everyone who are LGBTQIA is strong people). I just mean they have it harder than LGBTQIA people who live in countries where it is accepted have. To live in a country where you are not accepted for who you are and can be killed because of who you are takes so much courage. It is horrible that those who are LGBTQIA there have to be afraid and hide who they are.
I am really thankful for living in Sweden where LGBTQIA people have rights. But of course there are Homophobic people here to and all over the world which is sad. But since I live where I live I can be openly pan-sexual without getting abused and that is wonderful.
I just wish that we ALL can accept each other like we do here in Sweden and in many other countries.
And why I wrote LGBTQIA so many times is because I don't think it was just about homosexuality even thought it was the title of the video and that's what they talked about. I don't think they would accept anything about LGBTQIA so that's why I chose to write LGBTQIA.
